The +1 button is Google’s answer to the like button, and is part of their new platform Google+.

If you see something you like, be it a blog post, product, or a page, you can click the +1 button to let everyone know you think it’s cool. And since it’s a Google product, +1′s will also show up in search results, so you can see what other people think about it.
